6 Tips to Find Purpose in Life

Meaningfulness is something that all of us strive for in life. It’s that sensation you get when everything feels right. You’re going after your dreams, and nothing can stop you now. All of your actions are coming from a place of love and light, not darkness or fear. You know that the people in your life are there because they support you unconditionally.
Meditate
This is one of the best ways to clear your head and find some clarity in your life. If you’re always on the go, you may feel as though you never have time to just sit back and think about what you want your life to be. Meditation is a great way to help you get back in touch with your true self. It’s also a great way to find more meaning in your life. When you meditate, you’re simply getting in touch with your soul. All of the noise in your head — the stress and anxiety — disappears. And at this point, you’re able to focus on what matters in life: what you want, what you enjoy, and what truly makes you happy.
Set boundaries and live by them
Not everyone in your life is going to be a positive influence on you or your goals. And unfortunately, some people are just plain toxic — they don’t mean to be, but they just don’t fit into your lifestyle. You have to set some boundaries. And once you do, you’ll feel a lot more at ease and you’ll have more time and energy to focus on the people who support and love you.
Help others find their own path to happiness
Life is too short to spend it worrying about what people think of you, what you need to do to get by, or how many likes you got on your latest Instagram post. Instead, you need to focus on how you can help others. Whether it’s volunteering at a local charity, going on a service trip abroad, or helping someone else out in your own community, giving back helps you find more meaning in your life. Not only does it benefit the person or people you are helping, but it also helps you discover what is important to you, what you enjoy doing, and what you want to do with your life.
Don’t compare yourself to others
So many people fall into the trap of comparing themselves to other people. If they see someone else seemingly living their dream, they feel as though they need to compete against them and outdo them at all costs. But, this is not the way to find more meaning in your life. Instead, you need to focus on what is meaningful to you. If you love writing, then you don’t need to beat out other authors, you need to focus on becoming the best writer you can possibly be. There is only one you, and there is only one path that is right for you. You need to focus on what makes you a better person, not what makes others better than you.
Write your happy thoughts and feelings down
Sometimes, you may be so caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life that you don’t have time to sit down and think about what matters to you on a deeper level. But, this is an important thing to do so that you can find more meaning in your life. A great way to do this is by writing down your happy thoughts and feelings. Simply sit down with a pen and paper, and write out everything that makes you happy. What makes you smile? What makes you want to get out of bed in the morning? You can also do this in a journal if you’re more comfortable with that.
Commit to something you love doing, even if you’re not great at it yet
Let’s say you want to start volunteering with children who are interested in music, but you’re terrible at singing. You don’t need to worry. Instead, do your best, and don’t worry about comparing yourself to others. Also, make sure to keep an open mind. If a child is struggling with an instrument, don’t jump in to show them how to do it right away. Instead, ask the child what they need help with and go from there. You don’t have to worry about knowing everything. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that plays a crucial role in our ability to experience pleasure and happiness, as well as our motivation to take action and achieve our goals. But not everyone has abundant dopamine. Dopamine deficiency is associated with several negative consequences, including depression, anxiety, lack of motivation, and inability to experience a pleasure. Fortunately, you can naturally increase your dopamine levels through simple lifestyle changes. So let’s take a look at what exactly dopamine is and how we can raise it with everyday habits and activities.
